This year’s TechCrunch Moscow hosted by the Digital October center proved as exciting as ever, featuring the Battle of Startups and some tech celebs like LiveJournal founder Brad Fitzpatrick.
Themed as Innovations Detox, the conference sought to support new ideas that aim to make people’s lives easier in terms of their daily, low-brow activities.
The two-day event showcased 38 local startups with a global vision which had to convince the jury in English that their projects are worth investor money.
In-between the pitches, the audience was offered a cram course on startups by tech gurus like Adeo Ressi, CEO of the Founder Institute, success stories behind,, NGINX, Kayak and a glimpse into the future by industry leaders including Google, SurveyMonkey,,, CTC Media, Tvigle Media and many others.
