This year’s TechCrunch Moscow hosted by the Digital October center proved as exciting as ever, featuring the Battle of Startups and some tech celebs like LiveJournal founder Brad Fitzpatrick.
Themed as Innovations Detox, the conference sought to support new ideas that aim to make people’s lives easier in terms of their daily, low-brow activities.
The two-day event showcased 38 local startups with a global vision which had to convince the jury in English that their projects are worth investor money.
In-between the pitches, the audience was offered a cram course on startups by tech gurus like Adeo Ressi, CEO of the Founder Institute, success stories behind Coub.com, Last.fm, NGINX, Kayak and a glimpse into the future by industry leaders including Google, SurveyMonkey, Mail.ru, ivi.ru, CTC Media, Tvigle Media and many others.
The Startup Battle was won by Dreamroomer, followed by second place MEDESK. Below are the short descriptions of the finalists and if you think they’re worth a buck, feel free to get in contact with us to help you connect with them.

MEDESK

It is a fully featured ecosystem for the private healthcare market that facilitates the collaboration of all the major players – clinics, patients, CROs, employers, insurance companies, and medical device vendors. OBMENIGRAMI

It’s a universal and convenient service for swapping and trading used games and accessories for consoles. How the project operates is simple: gamers create a virtual shelf with the games they are offering and they may ask each other for specific games to trade. As the project has a geolocation feature, all gamers see games that are available in their neighborhood. Then the only thing they have to do is to set up a meeting. This service is already accessible in all CIS countries.
