Russian Biophysicist to Personally Test his Rejuvenation Technology
September 15, 2016 20:44

The researcher Alexey Karnaukhov, who is a research associate of the Biophysics Institute, RAS intends to test his newly invented rejuvenation technology on himself. The method has already been tested on mice.
Several scientists under the leadership of Alexey Karnaukhov carried out experiments on rodents, which showed a 34 percent increase in life expectancy of the animals. In case of people it means postponing the death for 25 years. The biophysicist makes a start from the paradox of "the ageless germinal line" found by researchers seven years ago. According to science, ageing is the process of accumulating deformed DNA in every cell of the body. So far scientists haven't managed to correct genetic errors in cells, but they are able to slow down the accumulating process.
For that purpose a set of marrow cells is to be taken from a person in youth and then stored in a special cryobank. In old age this material can be defrozen and inculcated in the body. Only people below 55 can act as donors and recipients of the specified procedure. For this reason Alexey Karnaukhov is going to resort to the method in the nearest future.
