Learning Russian at Moscow State University will help you to improve your Russian Language skills. The Program of each student starts with a written and oral test, to determine the exact level of Russian language knowledge for placement in groups at 5 levels from Beginner to Advanced.
Study programmes are based on research in the sphere of cultural studies and on modern life in Russia, and will help to gain an understanding of the country, its people, their customs and manners. You will get acquainted with Russian literature, history, political background, fine art and daily life. They are designed to raise command of Russian language to the highest possible level and to introduce basic knowledge of Russian culture and literature. This aim is achieved by varied teaching targeted to student's objectives:
- reinforcement of initial knowledge and skills
- systematic development of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
- extension of vocabulary, structure and usage
- oral practice
improvement of pronunciation and intonation Russian language knowledge and skills are developed by a wide variety of teaching and learning activities, exercises, and language games prepared by the tutors. The emphasis is on spoken Russian in the classroom, with the opportunity to develop writing skills by completing homework assignments within the scheduled program. Study Programs are flexible, responding precisely to individual learning needs. The program covers 20 ac/hours in a week. Tuition is given at five levels from Beginner to Advanced. For Intermediate and Advanced levels the program may include specialized courses.
