The Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU) was founded in 1921. Until 1993 it was known under the name of The Moscow Civil Engineering Institute (MISI).
MGSU is the leading higher educational establishment of its type in Russia, one of the largest world's centres of building science and education.

MGSU scientists participated in surveys, expertise, designing, construction and reconstruction of largest construction projects in different regions of Russia and all over the world. The unique structures of Christ the Savior Cathedral and Manezhnaya Ploshchad Shopping Centre have been constructed lately under their guidance, Gostinny Dvor Mall and National Hotel have been renovated, a new building of Sberbank and many other structures have also been erected.
