Tver State Technical University.

Tver State Technical University was founded in 1922. It is a large educational, scientific and industrial complex belonging to the system within Russian Federation Ministry of Education.

Now Tver Tech is a dynamically developing University with a number of modern specialties, very popular among the younger generation. Tver University is a member of Technical Universities Association and Engineering Education Association of Russian Federation. Besides, Tver Tech is a founder of Russian Preparatory Faculties Association for Foreign Students and Overseas Students Association in Russia.

The University has 8 Departments: Machine Building, Civil & Industrial Engineering, Computer Science & Informatics, Natural Resource Management and Engineering Ecology, Humanities, International Academic Co-operation, Correspondence Department, and Postgraduate Training Department for improving professional skills of specialists. Also there are tutorial centers, post-graduate courses, a scientific research institution, information and computer center, academic library and University administration.

Application:

Applicants should provide following documents:
  • Application form and CV;
  • Certified copy of birth certificate;
  • Certified copy of completed secondary education Diploma/Certificate (Bachelor's Degree Diploma - for those applying to Graduate Courses);
  • Health certificate from a licensed physician saying, that the applicant is HIV negative and has no infectious or chronic diseases, and containing results of all necessary blood and other tests to provide proof of candidate's good health.
  • 12 photos (34 cm).
Applicants approved receive visa support through the Russian Consulate in their home country and are to arrive to the University between August 15 and September 1. Deadline for Applications is August 25.

Tuition Fees and Other Expenses:

Tuition fees for preparatory program for the foreign citizens are $1200 for 2005, for basic faculties - about $1300 per year, for magisterial diploma - about $1400 per year, for post-graduate courses - $1500 per year.

Fees do not include:
- Residing in hostel (2-3-berth rooms) - $150 for 10 months.
- Compulsory medical insurance - $50.
- Russian target testing (at applicants request) - 60 $.

The students pay all transport expenses for entering and departing from Russia themselves.
