MISA has been training specialists for foreign countries since 1941. Over 2300 foreign students from 52 countries obtained their qualification till 2000; 305 postgraduates got Ph.D. degree and 9 foreigners got the Doctor of Science degree.
Today MISA - Technological University provides a wide range of educational services and programs. It has modern education programs in every basic area of education and scientific research. University education system is built to give students deep understanding of fundamental knowledge combined with specialization in applied science problems.
According to the special curriculum an international student passes Bachelor and Master programs in 5 years (full time) and is granted Bachelor (BA/BSc) and Master (MA/MSc) diplomas.
For international students MISA - Technological University organizes training courses of different type and duration, pre-university programs, various special courses including teacher and researcher training studies as well as Russian language courses.
All courses at MISA - Technological University are taught in Russian. Those wishing to take a full course of studies or one-year training at one of the faculties and who do not speak Russian are invited to preparatory course at the Center for International Education. Short-term training or other special courses may be taken in a foreign language by prior agreement.
MISA - Technological University offers a number of special curricula for groups of students from foreign universities. Duration of these programs may vary from one semester to one year. Students may take exams in the courses they take. Classes may be conducted in a foreign language.
Admission:
Each applicant should submit following documents for his/her Personal File:
- Personal questionnaire – applicant’s request for studying using appropriate form (under-graduate student, post-graduate student, trainee) with indicating code and complete specialty description.
- Secondary (higher) education certificate (in institution of further education (college, institute, university)) with list of courses attended, grades obtained and general rate of applicant’s progress.
- Medical certificate confirming that the applicant is HIV negative and has no contra-indications for studying in Russia.
- Medical insurance
- National passport
- Six photographs (4 x 6 cm)
- Written approval of applicant’s legal representatives (parents, adopters or trustees), if the applicant is under 18.
- Any other documents certifying completion of extra study courses are optional.
