According to him, characteristics of the private spacecraft, for which the parachute is being created are similar to characteristics of the existing spacecrafts. Mr. Lyalin did not specify the commercial customer, however the CEO of CosmoCourse, Pavel Pushkin confirmed to TASS that the specification was issued by this very company.
"I confirm that we plan to order parachute systems, including those from the Parashute Engineering Scientific Research Institute. Presently we are approving the specification for this work with them. It has not been approved yet", - Mr. Pushkin noted.
It was earlier reported that the Russian private company CosmoCourse was developing a reusable complex for suborbital commercial tourist flights onto the Earth orbit. It is planned that a crew of six people and one instructor will make a 15-minute flight at the altitude of 180-220 km with spending 5 to 6 minutes in zero gravity. The first flight will be made possible in 2020. The cost of one ticket is expected to make from 200 to 250 thousand dollars.
