Russia's largest conference in biotechnologies - BIOTECHMED - was held in Gelendzhik. More than 1000 people took part in its business program.
"Biotechnologies will surely develop in advancing rates. The BIOTECHMED Conference is a new platform for dialogue of the industry, health care and business", – the RF Industry and Trade Minister, Denis Manturov declared.
"57 state contracts related to biotechnology developments to the amount of 3,6 billion rubles are being implemented in the framework of the current program on development of the pharmaceutical and medical industry of the Russian Federation.
Now we are significantly less dependent on the foreign medical market. Over the last period, since 2008, we have created our own bioanalogical medicines, including target molecular medicines related to personified medicine, as well as gene therapy drugs, not to mention a great number of bioanalogues, and monoclonal antibodies. The same concerns medical products", - the Minister pointed out.
A high point of the event was the world premiere of the new microscope Schwab, which is capable of creating a "live" 3D image of the nucleus of a separate cell and can provide the breakthrough of Russia in the sphere of synthesizing new medicines and preclinical researches.
Summing up a rating of biomedical startups became one of the key results of the Conference. The winner is the project of the 3D Smile company. "We are happy to announce the 3D Smile project to be the best startup in the sphere of biotechnologies. It should be noted that all the startups, which took part in the contest have the potential to become drivers for development of innovative medicine in the Russian Federation", – the conference head, Yevgeny Nichipuruk declared.
The BIOTECHMED Conference took place in Gelendzhik from September 26 to September 27 with assistance of the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry and the Health Ministry of Russia.
