In low concentration they are capable of removing oils and fats, as well as food, organic and other impurities from any surfaces.
Residents of the Ural Science and Technology Park "Universitetsky" have developed cleaning microgels made from particles of wood and apple millcake. This was reported about by the press service of the innovative center.
"Our scientists have developed and patented eco-friendly gels made of organic components, cellulose and pectin which are received from wood and apple millcake. Besides natural microgels with particles that are not bigger than one thousand nanometers, the innovative home care includes only safe and eco-friendly additives, such as products of coconut oil and glycerin", - they said.
The microgels in low concentration are capable of removing oils and fats, as well as food, organic and other pollutants from any surfaces. "The ecogels have no strong smell, and can be completely washed away with water from the surface cleansed, the fact making them safe for people suffering from allergy and asthma", - the experts explain.
According to scientists, the ecological standard of the Ural invention has also been confirmed abroad. "Now we already have five Russian patents for inventions, whereas our applications for international and Euroasian patents are in the national coordination phase", - the press service cites Andrey Yelagin, one of the developers.
