Dates in History
1350—Dmitri Donskoy, Grand Duke of Moscow, is born.
He is the first Russian prince to openly challenge Tatar authority in Russia, when the country was heavily dominated by Golden Horde. Dmitri met and defeated the Golden Horde at the Battle of Kulikovo in 1380.
