Dates in History
1858—Isaakiyevsky Cathdral is opened in St. Petersburg.
The cathedral is built by French architect Auguste Ricard de Montferrand, who has spent most of his life (41 years) in this city. Isaakiyevsky Cathedral is called declared the most beautiful church of its time, the highest architectural achievement.
