1561—Architects Barma and Postnikov finish the construction of St. Basils Cathedral in the Red Square in Moscow.
The Cathedral is constructed to commemorate the capture of Kazan by Russian troops. There is a legend that Ivan the Terrible ordered to blind the architects so they wouldnt be able to create anything so magnificent as St. Basils Cathedral.
