Rainbow flashmob in St. Petersburg

300 colored balloons flown into the sky as a sign of tolerance and protest against gay-bashing in St. Petersburg on the May, 16. This action is one of many within the International Day Against Homophobia, which is marked in many cities all over the world on the May, 16 and 17.
      People with colored balloons came to the Pushkin monument and let them fly at 19. 00 MSK precisely. They were also distributing leaflets, where it was said that untraditional sexual orientation is not a disease to treat.
      The flashmob organizers say that the action is coincided with the International Day Against Homophobia and Transfobia. It was on the May, 17, 20 years ago, when the World Health Organization has excluded the homosexuality from the list of diseases.
