Plants Experiment at ISS Suspended
Plants, grown in space

Space gardens at International space station are now empty new experiments Rassvet and Poisk consume too much time from crewmembers.

The Plants experiment was conducted in a mini-greenhouse Lada, one of which components needs to be replaced. Wanted part will arrive to the station by the end of 2010.

Biological experiments on growing plants under microgravity conditions started on the Mir orbital station. Now almost all ISS crewmembers have their own green pets: lettuce, radish, peas, barley, club wheat, and even flowers. Results of these experiments will later be used for building a greenhouse for a manned mission to Mars.
