Public workers get more in September
18.07.2005 00:00

New increase in pay has been promised to public workers from September 1, 2005 by Mr Zurabov, healthcare and social development minister.

The indexation includes those working for defense departments and will boost the average Russian wages by 11%, making it 800 roubles ($28).

This is not all, though. New Year will surprise the nation with another rise. In total, people will receive by 33% more, although, actually, the benefit will be in the ballpark of 20-23%.

Furthermore, the nation’s income, as reported by Mr Zurabov, ran into 4,858bn roubles ($170bn) in Jan-May and soared by 21.1% over the last year’s period.
