About a hundred years ago archeologists found traces of the early man on a granite rock located on the coast of lake Big Allaki near the town of Kasli, Chelyabinsk Region.
Presumably our ancestors lived there 7 to 10 thousand years ago. Researchers managed to make a notion about their way of living thanks to rock paintings made in red ochre. Until recently it consisted of 68 paintings located in three groups. But a part of them (the third group) has been recently marred by some of our “savage” fellow countrymen.
Someone has left a modern inscription saying “Vasya was here” just over the ancient pictures. It actually killed the message of the ancient: it is impossible to wash off the fresh paint without harming the paintings that are several thousand years old. They are lost forever, researchers say.
The marred paintings depicted dancing men with slightly bent hands and feet. Their heads are decorated with animal horns. Most likely, these are ancient shamans or sorcerers performing a sacred ritual.
