Russian Cellular Operators to Cut Down Roaming Rates but for Global Roaming

Russian cellular communication operators cannot bring down global roaming rates, since they face high tariffs of contracting parties in other countries, experts claim.
The big three of the Russian mobile network market (MTS, Beeline, and MegaFon) are expected to considerably cut down rates on roaming within Russia and all CIS countries starting from the 1st of December 2010. Voice service rates will be cut down 1.5 to 2 times at the average, SMS will become 3 times cheaper, and mobile Internet service will be marked down 2 to 4 times.
In addition to that, Russian cellular operators in the near future will send letters to their counteragents in the Western Europe and the North America with an offer to mark down international roaming not only within the CIS, but all around the world.
