Devices Without GLONASS Subject to 25% Duty
A GLONASS receiver

According to the Russian vice-prime minister, cell phones and navigating devices, which are made abroad and are not linked to GLONASS navigation system, can be subject to a duty up to 25% of their price.
      
      No duties will be introduced for devices with embedded GLONASS. Government is not going to ban import of devices without GLONASS, a Russian navigation system, however, a duty for them is likely to appear.
      
      Moreover, Russian government decided to issue a law, obliging Russian drivers to equip their cars with GLONASS receivers.
      
      Well, it is time to hide your IPhones – Russia seems to proclaim war to some foreign manufacturers, who would never produce phones with GLONASS.
