Vologda to Become International Capital of Lace

The best lace makers of Russia, Poland, Slovenia, Finland, Belgium and France will gather together at the International Lace Festival in Vologda.
      
      The festival is planned to be held in June 2011.
      The festival will be held once in three years, said the general director of the Vologda Memorial Estate Lyudmila Korotayeva.
      
      Competition for the best lacy work - Silver Bobbin - will become an integral part of the festival. Along with this contest, the Lace Festival will be dedicated to wooden lace, metal lace, and the like.
