Russia to Orbit 18 American Satellites

Before summer 2011 ends, Russia plans to orbit 18 space vehicles of second generation, belonging to American Globalstar satellite communication system.
      
      First portion – six satellites Globalstar 2 – of the system was orbited on October 19, 2010 by means of a “Soyuz 2-1A” rocket carrier. Next six satellites will go into space in April 2011, and the rest will get to their orbits during two more launches.
      
      Globalstar company is a leading provider of mobile satellite communication and data communication.
