Russia to host the 2018 World Cup

Russia is picked to stage the 2018 World Cup, as it has been announce by FIFA president Sepp Blatter in Zurich today. 22 FIFA executive members have chosen Russia in a secret ballot as it had a fantastic bid. The final presentation was supported by the famous Russian footballers of the world level Aleksey Smertin, Rinat Dasaev, Andrey Arshavin. Russian bid was also backed by the delegation of an opera singer Anna Netrebko, a conductor Valery Gergiev, an Olympic medalist Elena Isinbayeva, Minister of Sport and other sportsmen and businessmen. Great videos, the impressive delegation and the promise to abolish visas for the period of the World Cup made FIFA believe in our country.
