MAKS 2006 kicks off

MAKS 2005 (16-21 August, located in the town of Zhukovsky, near Moscow) kicks off today.
      
      All the spots have been occupied now at the air show boasting new helicopters and upgraded military aircraft. No landmark contraption, though, but anyway it is still a show.
      
      The event is sponsored out of the commercial budget, contributed to by 520 national and 134 foreign firms from 42 countries, including Rosoboroneksport, Sukhoi, Machine-Building R&D Agency, Metallist Samara, NITA company, Cessna Aircraft Co., 3D Systems GmbH Germany, Adams Rite Aerospace UK, Aermacchi Italy, Brahmos India, BROETJE Automation Germany, Canadian Special Equipment / Wheelabrator Canada, CASC China, CFM International France, the Boeing Company USA, U.S. Department of Defense / US Army USA
