The best architect award was given to a group of masters headed by Yury Gnedovsky, head of Russian Architects’ Union, who created the International Music House.
The fine arts award went to Alexander Belashov, a sculptor who commemorated the victims of the bloody theatre siege in Moscow in 2003. The second prize was conferred to Igor Obrosov for his works of are Moscow and Muscovites.
The nominee won in literature was Roman Sef for his two-volume selection of poetry.
Music prizes were given to Aleksei Skavronsky, a professor at the Russian Gnesinykh Academy, and Mikhail Usov, soloist at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Academic Musical Theatre.
Eugene Simonova took the theatre award.
This year, the amount of the award made up 150,000 roubles, or some $5,000.
