The drawned Glonass satellites were insured only for 5% of their price

The three satellites Glonass, drawned in the Pacific due to the launch failure of the rocket Proton, were insured for 3,5 million dollars. This sum even doesn't cover 5% of satellites price.
According to Vedomosti newspaper, the insurance market participants say the insurance amount was far below their real value. Ingosstrakh company estimated the cost of three satellites and rockets for 80-100 million dollars.
At this moment the exact financial loss of the failed satellite launch is unknown. It may be noted that the loss may reach several billion rubles.
