Mergers amount in Russian consumer sector reached $ 15 billion

By the end of this year, an amount of mergers in Russian consumer sector reached 15 billion dollars, according to the experts, interviewed by Vedomosti. By this date, the industry has closed deals for 8,9 billion dollars, representing 17,7 percent of the total murgers amount.
      
      Compared to 2009, this year shows three times increase of deal number. The biggest deal of the year is the deal of purchasing Russian dairy products Wimm-Bill-Dann by American PepsiCo. Also a transaction of purchasing "Nidan soki" by Coca-Cola company should be noted as well as the integrating Unimilk and Danone companies.
