Chile abolished visas for Russian citizens

Russian tourists coming to Chile don't need any entry visa since Tuesday. Agreement about visa abolition, which has come into force was signed on the September, 24, 2010 at the UN General assembly in New York. Agreement was reached in 2009 during visit of Chile President Michelle Bachelet to Moscow.
      Citizens of Russia and Chile having valid passports can enter, leave and follow through both countries without visas during 90 days inside every 180 days period, beginning with date of arrival. In these circimstances, citizens of both countries who is going to stay on the other country's territory more than for 90 days, or to be engaged in labour activities, or to have a business should obtain visa at diplomatic mission or consulate of the country in accordance with its law.
      At the moment the Russian citizens enjoy visa-free entry to the countries like Argentina, Cuba, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Peru, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Colombia and Venezuela.
      Chile ambassador in Russia Juan Eduardo Eguiguren hopes, that visa free regime with Russia would conduce to good relations of both countries and developing contacts Russia - Chile.
