Restoration of Unique Historical Monument of Architecture Completed in Moscow

Moscow manor of the Muravyov-Apostols finds the new life. The unique 19thcentury architecture monument that had survived the great fire of 1812 was nearly ruined in the 20th century.

Its restoration lasted for over 10 years. Within this period the specialists managed to restore completely the facade of the house and the front court yard.

By autumn this year it has been planned to open a museum in the historical building. The exposition will be constantly updated so that the interest of visitors does not fade away with the lapse of time.

The descendant of the Muravyov-Apostols and patron of arts Christopher promises it will be so always, while he is renting the building. In future he plans to redeem and privatize it. But so far there are some difficulties with implementing this idea.
