Russia and Denmark have agreed to cooperate in the modernization of the industrial complex in Pikalyovo, Leningrad region. It is planned to invest over 200 million euros in the project.
Under the agreement it is planned that Pikalyovo will be equipped well and energy-saving technologies will be introduced in the fañtories. The production capacity of the complex will be increased from 250 thousand to 300 thousand tons of alumina production per year.
The industrial complex in Pikalyovo includes three companies: "Bazeltsement-Pikalyovo", owned by Oleg Deripaska's holding company; "Metakhim", controlled by SevZapProm and "Pikalevsky cement".
