4 Nature Sanctuaries to be Established in Chelyabinsk Region

Committee on Ecology and Nature Management of the Chelyabinsk Region Legislative Assembly goes on working on the registration of borders of nature sanctuaries of the Chelyabinsk Region.
      Four nature sanctuaries will have their borders confirmed. It is an oak grove in the vicinities of Shemakha Village, Eralashny Spring, Kuvaisky Ravine, and cliffs Seven Brothers.
      It is a reminder that the Chelyabinsk Region boasts 160 specially protected natural areas. Among them there are 20 wildlife preserves, 1 resort, and 139 nature sanctuaries, which gained this status under the decrees of the Chelyabinsk Regional Executive Committee in the 1970s-80s.
