Russian physicists from Kurchatov research centre decided to revive and modernize a unique particle collider a proton accelerator, located in the Moscow Region.
Construction of the proton-proton collider with superconducting magnets was put on hold in 1998, however, the facility can still be finished and work. The collider consists of an accelerator U-70, tunnels for a hadron and neutron complexes, channel for proton introduction into an accelerator ring, antiproton channel and a cryogenic building.
