From June 3rd to 12th the Columned Hall of the House of Unions in Moscow will be housing the Festival of Symphonic Orchestras of the World dedicated to the Day of Russia.
This year the festival brings together guests from the Eastern Europe: the Georges Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra (Bucharest), the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra (Prague), Sinfonia Varsovia (Warsaw).
Russia will be represented by two collectives - the United Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Yuri Kochnev with a program of Tchaikovsky’s Rimsky-Korsakov’s, and Prokofiev’s compositions.
The last night of the Festival will be crowned with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia with a monographic program dedicated to Rakhmaninov’s music.
The famous Third Concert for the piano with an orchestra will be performed by the young but already world-known pianist Aleksander Romanovsky - the grant-holder of the Vladimir Spivakov International Welfare Foundation.
