New train St. Petersburg-Novgorod

New train St. Petersburg-Novgorod

From June, 3 a new train will run from St. Petersburg to Novgorod the Great. New train will leave from Nitebsky Railway station of St. Petersburg on Fridays at 20.00 and arrive to Novgorod at 0.49. The train has been launched by popular demand of Petersburger. The train will consist of four cars. Amount of cars would be increased to 7 if demand for a new train is high enough. Railway connection between St. Petersburg and Novgorod is getting dense last time. A tourist train between two cities was launched on May, 7. It departs from Moscovsky Railway Station at 8.00 and arrives to Novgorod the Great at 11.05. Tourist train comes back at 20.15 with arrival to St. Petersburg at 22.49. A tourist train like this (train N208A) has earlier been launched from Moscow, in addition to existing every day night train Moscow-Novgorod (train N 042, departure from Leningradsky railway station).
