Russian gas monopoly Gazprom faces some problems, connected with gas consumption falling in Europe.
Valery Golubev, Gazprom Deputy Chief Executive, says: "The world market is not as favourable as it could be. We note significant declines on the European market. It creates very serious problems for us". He added, that if the government had decided not to raise taxes for Gazprom, the company would be able to implement a bigger investment programme.
At the same time Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller noted last week, that gas exports had surpassed the results of the last year by 30% and were still growing.
