Museum of Russian Shipbuilding History Opens in Kaliningrad

Historical and cultural center Ship Revival opens inside the restored Friedrichsburger Gate a mid 19th century architecture monument of federal value.

The history of shipbuilding in Russia and the sea science will be presented here not only with photos and drawings, but also with real ships. As the museum has reported, exhibits for the exposition arrive from different corners of Russia.

Friedrichsburger Gate, which was once part of the fortifying rampart belt of Konigsberg, after World War II was used for some economic needs (thus, the last tenant there was a motorcade).
