A unique research facility, hosted on a survey motor boat, is currently studying water and bottom of the Caspian Sea.
The host ship facility is able to sail in waters with various depths, which is perfect for studying the bottom of the 1025-meter-deep Caspian Sea, as well as shallow regions of the Volga river, for instance.
Acquired data are processed onboard the ship – water transparency, depth and current velocity are mapped for monitoring of variability of river bed, sea depth and other parameters.
