Monument to poet Joseph Brodsky will be unveiled today in the framework of the closing of the Cherry Orchard Festival 2011.
Joseph Brodsky monument, which Moscow authorities promised to set up four years back, has been finally fixed in Novinsky Boulevard facing the American Embassy.
Earlier it was informed that the monument would be unveiled in 2009, and then its opening was postponed till 2010.
Brodsky Monument created by Georgy Frangulyan is a many-figured composition with the poets sculpture in the center. The pedestal is made of granite that was used for lining of the quay of St. Petersburg, the native city of the poet.
