A week ago a decision of Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service about including parsley (Petroselinum crispuma A.W.Hill) in the list of plants, containing drugs, superpotent or toxic substance, came into operation.
Parsley seeds contain essential oil, which was found dangerous. Seventeen more plants have been also claimed to be dangerous by Russian health authorities with some species of orache, barnyard grass, and bitter apple among them.
Experts are not sure what kind of prosecution will be suitable for those, who grow or somehow use plants of the mentioned list.
