Air company of Transaero has begun ticket sales for new direct flight Moscw-Lisbon, opening on July, 2. The flights will be first carried out on Saturdays only, then their amount may be increased. Departure from Moscow airport of Domodedovo is at 15.25, arrival to Lisbon at 18.25. Return trip takes place at 21.20 with arrival to Moscow at 5.35.

      New service has rather high fares. They begin from EU 450 with all charges included. Connecting flights of other air carriers with stopover cost considerably less, although take more time. The line will be served on Boeing-737. The flights should have been opened already in spring, but then beginning of flights was delayed till mid summer.

      Earlier flights on line Moscow-Lisbon were carried out once a week by KrasAir, which was ruined. Portuguese TAP began flights two years ago and now makes 9 flights a week in the summertime. It is now the main and serious competitor of Transaero.

      Flight to Lisbon is an important part of the company's program of flights to Portugal. In includes flights Moscow-Faro, southernmost city of Portugal, carried out for already many years. Now flights on this route have become regular. This year Transaero begins also non-stop flight Moscow-Madeira Island.

      Transaero air company is notable for that it is the only one air carrier in the central and Eastern Europe exploiting wide-body aircrafts of Boeing-747 and 777.
