First Russian Monument to Michael Jackson to Appear in Yekaterinburg

The first Russian monument to the king of pop music will be unveiled in Yekaterinburg on June, 25th, the day of Michael Jackson’s death.

Members of the Russian fan-club of Michael Jackson «INVINCIBLE» initiated the creation of the monument a year ago.

The statue will be set up in the pedestrian Vainer’s Street and will be made of bronze in the same style as other sculptures earlier fixed in the alley.

It is a reminder that Yekaterinburg already boasts Michael Jackson’s wall, which is next to The Beatles monument. Now fans of Michael Jackson regularly get together, while the fan-club rehearses there dances based on motives and images from Jackson’s music videos.
