Open-air Library to Appear in Yekaterinburg

An unusual library opens in Yekaterinburg today – it is not hosted by any kind of buildings.

The book Mecca is located on the crossing between 8 Marta street and Lenin avenue. The library looks like a box with soft chairs, where up to 20 people can enjoy reading at the same time. Reading books here is free, moreover, the library welcomes visitors to meet with writers and poets, as well as take part in various workshops, games and other interesting events.

The library will make people happy until June 28, 2011. The project was initiated by the Austrian Consulate, since similar library appeared in Austria two years ago.
