Extra boat excursions on Baikal
Circum Baikal Railroad

Extra sailings appear from July, 1 for boat excursions along Circum Baikal Railroad, because this attraction is enjoying popularity now. One extra sailing will take place on June, 24. From July, 1 this Thursday sailing will be regular.

      Guided boat excursion along Circum-Baikal Railroad takes place every Saturday and Sunday from 11.00 till 18.30. The motor ship departs from Raketa quayside in Irkutsk, district Solnechny. During the voyage, the motor vessel makes stops on Capes Tolsty and Polovinny; a walk along Baikal shoreline is included as well. The guides tell about Baikal and city of Irkutsk. The tourists are provided with packed lunch, there is also a cafe on board.

      Circum-Baikal Railroad built in 1896-1900 is an engineering monument and one of the main sights of Baikal Area. Its tunnels, bridges, viaducts and protecting walls are something of special interest. They are not only old and technologically sophisticated for their time, but very beautiful as well.
