Money Raised for Scorpions Band Monument in St.-Petersburg

The world’s first monument to the rock band Scorpions might appear in the Moscow District of Petersburg, near the sports-concert complex in Yury Gagarin Avenue.

Alexey Avanov, the representative of the fan-club that raises funds for the monument explains that the place has been chosen because this is where The Scorpions for the first time gave ten concerts at a row in Russia. After those shows Russians came to know and love the band.

According to the fan, there is plenty of space near the sports-concert complex, and so there should not be any problems. The monument that will cost about 500 thousand roubles, as the fans expect, will depict the band’s symbol — a scorpion from the album cover Unbreakable.
