Clock Museum to Appear in Ulyanovsk

In honor of the upcoming 200th anniversary since the birth of Russian writer Ivan Goncharov a museum-exposition will be created in his native town of Ulyanovsk (formerly Simbirsk).

According to the city press-service, the exhibition hinges on the famous Goncharov’s clock.

The museum exposition will be presented from two perspectives. On the one hand, the visitors will learn about the history of the clocks and on the other hand, about people associated with them.

In the first hall of the museum one can observe the working mechanism of modern clocks, and in the second one - learn more about old clocks. By means of state-of-the-art technologies amazing views to the Cathedral of Our Saviour’s Ascension and the dial plate of Goncharov’s clock will open from the museum windows.
