Half a million Russians may visit Mexico in seven years

Mexican authorities wish to attract up to half a million Russian tourists annually in seven years, claimed Mexican Secretary of Tourism Gloria Guevara Manzo, who was visiting Moscow.

Tourist flow from Russia to Mexico has been increasing. One thousand Russians visited Mexico in 2006 and already 27 thousand did it for the last year.

This result was mostly gained by Mexican decision to simplify the procedure of issuing visas. Since 1 November 2010 Russian citizens may get Mexican visa free of charge and it takes just some minutes.

Russian tourists usually stay in Mexico for up to 10 days and may spend there about 7 thousand USD.
