New motor ship to be launched in Moscow in July

A newly built motor ship Stolichnyy with a sliding glass roof is to take place of Moskva – type mentor ships made in 70es and 80es. Within three years ten Stolichnyy vessels will be launched in Moscow.

      
Since the mid of July new excursion motor ship Stolichnyy will start running on the Moskva River and Vodootvodny Canal. It can place about 120 people. One of the advantages of the new generation vessel is a low draught, which will let it to pass under all of Vodootvodny Canal bridges. The slide glass roof will provide for panoramic view of Moscow sights.

      
The route of Stolichnyy craft will be as following: Bolotnaya square, Peter the Great statue, Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, Estrada theatre, the Kremlin, Bolshoy Ustinsky Bridge, Novospassky Bridge, Bolotnaya square. An audio guide in four languages will be available.
