Russian Batteries for Electric Cars to Have High Capacity

A joint Russian and Chinese company “Liotech” produces high-tech lithium-ion batters with very high capacity.

A plant, to be built in Novosibirsk, will produce a variety of batteries, including lithium iron phosphate ones, for electric vehicles and power engineering industry.

The company has already signed contracts with several large transport companies – these agreements provide development of an electric bus, which will first serve international events, like Sochi-2014 Olympics.

Electric vehicles are ecologically friendly and make less noise, than ordinary ones. Electricity is also cheaper than petroleum.
