Shall peat bog fires cause emergency situation in Russia?

Russian Greenpeace urges to introduce a peat bog fires emergency situation in a range of Russian regions.

      
If hot weather and lack of rains lasts, the peat bog fires situation may come out of control, comments the head of forest department Greenpeace Russia Alexey Yaroshenko.

      
First of all it concerns Shatura, Orekhovo-Zuyevo and Pavlovo-Posadsky areas in Moscow region, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Leningrad and Pskov regions.

      
According to Mr. Yaroshenko, introducing an emergency situation will let to mobilize all possible forces to fight the peat bog fires, including the army.

      
Last year peat bog fires smog cloaked nearly all European part of Russia and Moscow as well.
