Moscow Authorities Deny Floating Ship of Fools to Vyacheslav Polunin
Vyacheslav Polunin

Vyacheslav Polunin will have to abandon his project of the floating theatre Ship of Fools: Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin has cancelled the order of 2007 about construction of a mobile complex for the shows of the world-famous clown.

According to the project, the theatre was supposed to settle down in a steam-ship that would float along rivers giving performances. It was planned that the landing stage of the clownery steam-ship would be at the Crymskaya Embankment near the Artist’s House.

The floating circus was expected to be financed from the city budget; however, the project approved several years ago has been recognized inexpedient today.
