“IrkutskEnergo”, one of the largest power engineering companies in Russia, is intent to build an industrial lead-bismuth fast-neutron reactor.
This reactor is a part of a modernization programme of the enterprise, which also includes increasing energy efficiency, developing ecological friendliness, introduction of new industrial technologies, cooperation with educational and research institutions, innovations for business and etc.
The lead-bismuth fast-neutron reactor will work in closed nuclear fuel cycle. The technology is expected to become commercial.
